SCHOOL OF AMBIENCE creates light and dark ambient soundscapes with industrial tones, characterised by integration of various electronics, vocal samples and occasionally incorporating acoustic musical instruments. Aside from the usual electronic music influences, this organic ambient tends to incorporate influences from world music, sometimes with an element of drone instrumentation and percussion. These ambient offerings have harmonious overtones with nature, the environment, and the mind but with a twisted universal edge.
Ian Price (the man behind School Of Ambience) is also the creator of many music videos. As well as creating videos for his own projects, in 2008 and 2009 Ian was commissioned to create two video for the drum group GLAMBA. Both videos now form part of their fabulous live set. Ian has also created a video for the dark ambient outfit PERFECT BLUE.
